Frequently Asked Questions

Can I rotate just one page of a PDF?

Yes. Switch to the "Individual" tab after uploading your PDF. Thumbnails of the first 8 pages are shown — click any thumbnail to select it, or Ctrl/Cmd+click to select multiple. Then click 90° CW, 90° CCW, or 180° to apply rotation to only the selected pages.

Does rotating a PDF reduce its quality?

No. PDF rotation is a metadata change, not a re-render. The tool uses pdf-lib to set the rotation angle on each page object without re-encoding any content. Text, images, and vector graphics retain full quality.

What is the difference between 90° CW and 90° CCW?

CW (clockwise) rotates the page to the right — a portrait page becomes landscape with the top on the right. CCW (counter-clockwise) rotates to the left — a portrait page becomes landscape with the top on the left. 180° flips the page upside down.

Can I rotate a range of pages at once?

Yes. Select the "Page Range" tab and enter the starting and ending page numbers. All pages within that range will receive the rotation you apply. You can combine this with the reset option to start over.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. The tool uses the pdf-lib JavaScript library entirely in your browser. Your file is loaded into memory via the FileReader API and the rotated PDF is generated client-side. Nothing leaves your device.
